This image was requested by - A curvy, Rubenesque schoolgirl...well, chubby schoolgirl in his words, but I like the sound of the word 'Rubenesque' But rather than it being a plain Jane (no offence to the Janes of the world), it had to look like a pin-up illustration, complete with cleavage and a belly. Although the cleavage and belly aren't quite in-your-face, I thought the subtle look and framing gives it a nuanced, but more centered focus. Although the pose isn't quite as dancey as requested, I think it's rather fancy, and I hope it's okay.

Nevertheless, I think the drawing needs a couple of more touch-ups. The scanners here, for one, don't seem to be cleaned up after those who's works have wetter mediums have been scanned, so I took PSP 10's Clone Brush out to eliminate some of the speckles and construction lines. I also adjusted the jawline a bit to make it more even, but I'll do it more solidly with a clean rubber/eraser and pencil a bit later, along with some darker shading in places.

Overall though, I think it's okay- definitely worth the ages of work I put into it and it's also a change of pace from my usual pieces, but what do you all think of it?

Materials Used: 5H, 4H, 3H, F, B, 2B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B, and 8B sketching pencils, PSP 10 Clone Brush.
Time Taken: 4 and a half hours from the first sketch lines to the final touches, and an extra half hour on the clone brush touch-ups.
Inspirations: Despite being a lover of curvier, fuller-figured, voluptuous women myself, I was unsure in my abilities at nailing down the chubby look, so I perused various images at DA to get a good look at the style, as well as some tutorials. Here are the artists I took a look at, and I suggest you take a look at them too :
- for a gallery filled with gorgeous women, and a general neat-looking style. I looked at his pieces for that figure mixture of rounded hips and the belly, but I think the hair style and flirty look work as a homage to his style...though I wonder if it's a bit too similar in some areas.
- for the realistic look of a curvy, full-figured women, particular the belly.
