Thank you. And gah, this is so old! XD I can hardly stand to look at this now. I've changed how I draw my werewolves so much this past year. X3

Still epic, don't worry.
But I definitely know what you mean xD
It's nice to see how you've progressed though, you know?

I'm very pleased and flattered that you're interested in it. ^-^ I finished the first part, only to decide that I wanted to rewrite it. There were just too many things I wanted to change, and it takes place in the 1930s, so I've had to do more research in order to make it feel more authentic. I may post the first section when I get around to completing it (been busy with other things recently. >.<) Hopefully, I'll be able to get some feedback. I've had trouble getting people to read it, but those that do say they really like it. ^-^;

1930s? Very nice, right alongside Lovecraft's era! Have you checked out [link] ?

Weird. This comment didn't show up in my stacks. >.< Sorry.
Thank you for the link though! It'll be very helpful. I've read a bit of your story as well and I think it's far better than anything else on the Werewolf Cafe forums. I actually read it when you had it posted there, and liked it very much. I personally like your character development and overall writing style better than Shadow Wolf's. Or whatever his name is. His stuff is fun but...comic bookish. :3 He has a tendency to tell over showing, which is kind of aggravating to me. I guess I'm more visual than most.

Nice use of values. This is pretty much what I was talking about with the whole chiaroscuro thing on your other picture.

Thanks. I tried to fix that on the other one, btw. I need a desktop. The monitor on my laptop makes it difficult to do stuff like this. The colors and brightness change slightly whichever way I tilt it, so this may be brighter or darker than it actually appears to me. >.<;

Yeah, that's a pretty big problem with working on art on either a laptop or certain flatscreen monitors. It's even worse when you're working on anything that's going to be printed.

Oh snap, run!
~~~~
I wonder how my Earthshaker would fare. He definitely has size (I'm assuming. At 7'4" and over 600 lbs, he's actually smallish for a greater Beastman. A Chieftain can be over 9 feet tall and round out at half a tonne) and that Stick of his is quite heavy.
*ponders* Actually, it'd be a pretty tough call. Poor Autumn would probably bite it first, being the smallest. Unless she has enough wherewithal when wolf'd out to hold back a bit, she'd probably charge ahead and get that dreaded first swing right on the chin. Out of the park, everybody! After that first exchange though, it's all up in the air. Rage, like fire, builds quickly for Bison so it's not like he has the level headed advantage once the real fight starts (That would be Mirrel ). He'd most likely go for the big threat first (Hayden? I can't tell who's actually larger) or use a smaller opponent as a weapon, he's certainly strong enough to grab one of the smaller wuffs by the foot and swing them around if he can't get to his Stick and depending on the arena, Stick might actually be a disadvantage.
Aw crap, now I have to think this out. Semi-related question: In your mythos would a Werewolf bite affect him, as a fellow supernatural creature? (He'd have to be supernatural, right? He's a freaking Minotaur) Or is it a disease specific to humans?
I see you've started writing again.
Firstly, when Broken, werewolves (in my story) are quite sentient if still ruled by stronger instincts and can therefore be quite impulsive. Autumn would probably hesitate, but she is stupid-fast. She also has a high amount of endurance which is common for female werewolves (what with the whole bearing children and all). Death hold? No problem. She'd probably wear Bison out just from struggling. But, no, she's not very strong.
Asher outweighs Hayden by something like ten or fifteen pounds (Asher's the black one). Also, Hayden, for some reason just can't fight worth a damn. He gets cocky the moment he thinks he's winning and starts getting sloppy. He's still pretty fast though. But Asher, in another life, used to be a pit fighter in the early 1800s. He'd be your biggest threat. BUT, he has issues controlling his wolf, so if he gets pissed off enough or Bison can do enough damage to Autumn (his crush) then he'd most likely go into a rage and become reckless. Of course, this also means he's stronger and faster and more numb to pain.
In my mythos there are essentially two different races of werewolves; the Benandanti/Vargwulf/werewolf (they don't have one name in their culture, but "Benandanti" and "werewolf" are most popular) and the Marked (also called the "Malandanti" by other werewolves, but the term is kind of a general word for all of their enemies). Normal werewolves are a separate race. They don't "spread" it through a bite or anything.
The Marked refers to those afflicted with the Mark of Lycaon. It's essentially rabies for werewolves, and was created by an alchemist in an attempt to make an army of sacrificial werewolves. It used to only affect Benandanti, but made the jump to humans in the early Middle Ages, and most recently the werecats in the early part of the 18th century - basically when Europe began to explore Africa which is where the majority of werecat tribes are from. So to answer your question if the bite would affect Bison, then I would think so, but he could recover from it and it probably wouldn't wear him down quite as fast as it would on a human. It may not change him either, but make him go feral which is essentially what it does to werewolves. Though a wolf-Bison would be pretty cool. XD
Oh, and FYI, my werewolves aren't allergic to silver and they regenerate quickly. The more adrenaline they have going through them, the faster they heal. The only sure way to kill one is to destroy the head or spinal cord.
I had a daydream about Bison mucking about as a monster hunter. He was tipped off about -a- werewolf in the area and turned the corner to be face to face with your picture. For some reason I was thinking London, so he had a bowler hat and a glamour that simply made him look like a big dude, not a minotaur. It was pretty cool, brainthinking Bison with a white shirt with sleeves rolled up and a double-breasted vest. After an 'Oh, bugger me.' he takes off the way he came. Autumn made it around the corner first and took Stick to the top of the noggin, followed by one to the chin. So yeah, she drops and Hayden's up next. Can't remember much about that one, only that he goes through a wall at one point. The fight with Asher was more or less a dirty boxing match. I'm calling it a draw as the police could be heard in the distance. Bison appeals to Asher in a Cockney accent. "Lissen, that's Old Bill coming up. You know at least one of 'ems got fangs. Since I don't want to end up a steak an' you don't wanna get kenneled, you gather yer pups and scatter an' I'll keep the 'Stab (short for Constabulary) busy." Just before they take off Bison looks to Asher and says, "Sorry 'bout yer mates."
That really doesn't do the scene justice.
