It seems you've become more versed in the Snob method of photography, where only black and white photos can be counted as true art. That being said; I like this one; the cracking looks goof, though, I wish the photo looked a little cleaner.

I fiddled around with the contrast a lot before I settled on this. I do agree that it should look a little cleaner. One of the nice things about actual film is that you can fool around with the stuff to get the results you want. This just highlights the limitations I'm presented with the software that I download. Overall, it's something I'd rate in the mid-80s, on a scale of 0-100.
As for true art, this is more an experimentation. I don't plan on limiting myself to just B/W contrasts.
