Mothflight quietly slipped away from her patrol. She had been silent the whole time anyway, the topics the other cats spoke of never really interesting her. Besides, the she-cat worked more efficiently on her own. Her paws made a trail in the freshly fallen snow. Thankfully Mothflight was light, so her steps were quiet, still she walked carefully. Prey was scarce during leaf-bare, and Mothflight wasn't willing to risk losing a meal for her clan. As she neared the eastern boarder she slowed down. She didn't particularly want to go beyond the territory, but if it was for the benefit of the clan maybe it was worth it? Mothflight hesitated at first. She paused in her tracks and looked back from the way she came, then into the unmarked territory. If she took too long she knew her clan mates would begin to worry. But she reasoned there might be better game there since the prey perhaps would not know of the clans presence. Mothflight huffed in defeat, padding forwards and hoping to Star clan she made the right choice.

There was the scent of a cat on the other side of that border. Though, it wasn't an unfamiliar accent. It almost smelled like... The deputy??

Mothflight stopped in her tracks, her mind going a mile a minute. The deputy? What was she doing so close to Thunder clan boarder? Mothflight had never spoken to the deputy previously, and didn't know her reasons for leaving the clan. The scent was fresh and Mothflight had mixed feelings about it.

"Come on... Where... I had the scent, where is it?" The ginger tabby kept wandering, growling in frustration.

Mothflight heard a muffled growl and straightened, trying to distinguish where the sound had came from. "H-hello?" she whispered. She padded silently towards where she thought she heard the voice but saw nothing. Was her mind playing tricks on her? Mothflight started to worry if she had came out tok far.

"What?" The she-cat stopped, looking around. "Who's there?"

Brown ears perked at the sound of another cat’s voice. This time there was no way she could have been hearing things. And now she knew where it was coming from, she snuck forwards to see if her suspicions were true. Mothflight’s blue eyes widened at the sight, it was her old deputy, Tigerflower. Mothflight immediately came out from behind her hiding place “Sorry to startle you, Tigerflower! It's just me, Mothfli- Mothpaw!” Mothflight corrected, realizing the other cat wouldn’t recognise her warrior name. Having left before Mothflight had ranked up to her current position.

The ginger and brown tabby looked at her in surprise. "Huh? Mothpaw?!" She looked around a bit, then stared at her. "What are you doing out here?!"

Mothflight felt ashamed that she had been caught, but it was for good reason she assured herself. "I could ask you the same" she mewed, a smile on her face. "I just wanted to come out here a little since I couldn't find any prey on Thunderclan territory. I thought there might be some here since cats don't usually come down here..." The brown she-cats trailed off at the end, her smile melted. The more Mothflight spoke the more she realized that maybe it hadn't been the best idea after all. If it really hadn't been Tigerflower but some other cat, someone dangerous, Mothflight might have been done for. If she had been in trouble it might take her clan mates a lot longer to come find her.

"Perhaps... There is quite a bit more prey out here because there aren't many cats here..." She shrugged. Then she realized something. "You're over twelve moons now, right? Do you have a warrior name?"

Mothflight run through the forest and then stopped when she found her favorite spot. a small tiny meadow that no one else but her know about. she layed down and rested her eyes for a minute. this place looked magical and it actually was because it let her speak to star clan and also see into the dreams of other cats and all this time she would be in dream clan so she could do almost anything. she fell asleeep and woke up in a weird place she had never been to. where am i? she wondered, padding down the hill that was there. "is anyone here?" she called out. whos dream was this?
