Description Mystery Solved! Some of you smarties have figured out my secret.

This obscure character is named Gloria Goldfinger. She's tall, slim and vain, and has a taste for expensive jewelry. Her hair colour changes often. She seems to be the brains of the group.

Gloria is from the Usborne Puzzle Adventures, a series of children's books that have a puzzle for you to solve on every page, as you progress though a mystery story that often (although not always) involves the theft of some ancient treasure. She's a member of the nefarious Dopple Gang, a ruthless bunch of crooks who like nothing better than uncovering artifacts whose locations have been unknown for hundreds of years - then making sure the locations remain unknown.

Thanks to everyone who took a guess at Gloria's origins, you were amazing!

Tell-Me-Lies In reply to ??? [2009-04-26 19:35:22 +0000 UTC]

Nope!

This is way more obscure than either of those.

Everyone is going to hate me when the truth comes out, I'm afraid. "WAT that doesn't even exist how could we know about it"

But I am HOLDING IT IN MY HAND, it so exists.

Was she part of the Whodunit Mystery Series? XDD;; I really doubt it though. I'm curious to hear the answer so I can add something to my reading list! Sexy drawing and coloring by the way.

Nope - but that's kind of along the right lines, sort of.

For anybody reading the comments faithfully, I'll give another and say clearly that it's something aimed at children.

roolsilver In reply to fallenintoshadows [2009-04-26 21:53:18 +0000 UTC]

Just get catering and hire some highscool actors, or college ones. 20$/night is something I'd go for, and you can rent costumes, or get them at after halloween sales, depending on how involved you want it to be. And honestly, I'd just steal the plot from a CLUE book, or game scenario. I'd do it with friends, only have a fancy dress-up costume party and every person would be a CLUE type character. The body would have to be my sister, because she makes a pretty awesome zombie.

I seriously have no clue. I googled her and it came up with a lot of random things.
The only thing that matched the name was an article on Artlaw where the name "Gloria Goldfinger" features as an example on Auction Sales. :S

Tell-Me-Lies In reply to fallenintoshadows [2009-04-26 18:33:11 +0000 UTC]

Haha!

Yeah, I googled it before giving her name to see if it would come up.

The thing she's from is incredibly obscure, and she's a minor character, so even Google doesn't know her - amazing!

I just read in the newspaper today that Google only knows about 5% of all the information in the world... Now I don't know how correct that is, but then there'd be a really large chance that you also know something Google doesn't know!
