No problem dear

Yes. What I do is start by bluring the skin with a light airbrush. About 40%. Next what I do is start smudging the skin and places that look pix elated. I use the smudge with either a hard brush or airbrush about 20%. Next I do is adjust my colour to the background. Then, I make a new layer and set it to Overlay. Then with a skin colour ,like a nice tan, I airbrush her skin. About 35 -40% opacity. Then I do her makeup on a new layer , set to multiply. And there you have a painted effect. ^_^

Its cool hun. ^_^

Well right under the tab that says Layers it usually says "Normal" click that and you can choose what style you want it. You know what I just might make a tutorial for you if that's what you would like? ^_^

No problem dear. ^_^

Yes, I am. My dad just gave me the program and I messed around with it. I also went
around DA looking at tutorials. Basic tutorials that showed me how to cut, how to blend my images, etc.

I have Photoshop installed on my old computer (which is broken at the moment). I took one look at it, found it so complicated, and just forgot about it, haha
I found tutorials sometimes hard to understand too.
But i sure hope to achieve more with your help

thanks for those links! i had a quick read (cos i don't have much time left online now) but i will try to learn from them. Are these 2 tutorials bascially all i need to get the desired painted effect?

that's great! I thought it would be far more complicated.
But one more thing... i noticed in the original, the model's hair was red... how did you change it?

Make a new layer. Change it to Overlay. Go over with the desired colour.
