Tidalpaw, son of Brookrun and Tidalsea, is BACK on tryout !

This tryout will close on August 24th !
This tryout is open to members and non-members alike ! Go ham !
This it Tidalpaw, the son of Brookrun of Riverclan and her mate, Tidalsea (NPC) !
This lil guy was born on April 9th 2023, and will rank up to warrior on October 9th 2023 (just so you're aware for assignments' sake) !
A lil backstory
Brook and Tidal were mates for seasons, ever since Brook fell for the spunky, easy-going and wild Tidalsea, daughter of Constellationstep and Quillblink, the founders of one of the big families in Riverclan. Tidal was a big part of Brook’s progress from a shy, self-doubting and meek molly into a more confident and assertive one.
Though kits had not always been part of the pictures, and despite the recent tragic events in Riverclan (namely the Dog Attack), the two mollies have been tending towards starting their own little family ; Brook especially had been longing more and more for kittens to love and raise.
Unfortunately, not everything went according to plan.
If Brookrun has indeed given birth to 2 kits (Cranepaw and Tidalpaw), healthy and well, her mate, Tidalsea and her own litter died in childbirth.
This tragedy struck Brook with great force, but she did not let it hinder her love and care for his kittens. Her grief has not torn her family apart, and will, if anything, make it even closer and tighter.

A few rules :
First thing first, I ask that you please be active with Tidalpaw ; he's already been re-claimed once because of lack of activity. I reserve myself the right to remove the character from your care and rehome them should anything happen, but that will not be without attempts at resolving the problem beforehand and discussing possibilities.
Speaking of plots, please communicate with me anything concerning major plot points, ships, putting the character up for injuries or for the official plot ; this is mostly because I would like to be kept in the loop, and by common courtesy. I’m pretty much open to anything, but I just ask two things : don’t kill him off (at least not for now), and don’t make him hate his mother. Temporary annoyance or anger is fine, especially in younger years, but this family is a tight knit family.
This kit's design is a set design, and it belongs to me ; should you leave the group or drop the character, the design will come back to me. But for as long as you remain in FOW/have the character, the design will be yours in all but name.
You can totally use the tryout art for the apprentice stage of the character, just use proper credit.

Family :
Brook considers the StellaQuill family as her own, even if she is still hesitant to vocally call it as such and claim it for good, since she came in through her mate, Tidalsea. But the kittens have been raised learning that each and every member of this family is their own, without doubts or questions.
First, the grandparents ; Brook’s mother, Heronflight, and her father, Darkstorm, unfortunately passed away a long time ago. Tidalsea’s parents, Quillblink (NPC) and Constellationstep (NPC), are both elders spending their days in peace.
On Brook’s side, she has two brothers, Stormthunder (NPC) and Troutscales (NPC) : the former is a charming, flirty troublemaker, while the latter is a stoic, mostly expressionless but loving and caring tom.
On Tidal’s side, however, the family is quite a bit larger, with Stella having had two litters with two different toms. But for the sake of simplicity, all of Tidalsea’s siblings will just be called Aunts and Uncles, just like their mates if they have any. First, Tidalsea’s littermate ; her brother Umbrashade (NPC) and his mate Lavendergaze (NPC), then her sisters, Inletshine (NPC) and Creeklily (NPC). Second, Tidal’s half-siblings ; Asterpool (NPC) and his mate Sagestar, and Junipersky (NPC).
Cranepaw and Tidalpaw have also grown up with quite a few cousins. The oldest are part of Junipersky and Somberspark’s (Deceased) litter : Sootflame, Duskember (NPC) and Orchidlight (NPC). And the youngest are Asterpool and Sagestar’s daughters, Lavendersky, Sorrelstrike and Mallowbrook.
Mallowbrook has recently been exiled for 6 moons following a punishment for having had kits with a Windclan tom named Aphidflight. I'll let you refer to the timeline doc for more details, and let you write up how Tidal reacted to this.
Finally, there is of course Tidalpaw's sister, Cranepaw (played by c asanovaaskies )
And Tidalpaw's living mother, Brookrun herself, played by me.

An important note ; after Tidal’s death, Sagestar and Sootflame have both been really important figures in Brookrun and the kits' lives, helping her overcome her grief and becoming close friends, and looking after Crane and Tidal, playing with them and talking with them. This means both have been quite present in the kittens’ life, with Sage being a close Auntie and Soot being a close cousin to both.

For Tidalkit, you may change their prefix but I ask that you keep it water-related (e.g, Tide-, Wave-, Cascade-, Lake-, etc) ; they are named after Tidalsea, Brookrun’s mate and the kits’ second mother, though she died just as they were born.
This kitten is DMAB and has been referred to with He/Him pronouns as of yet, but you are totally free to go with any gender identity, as long as there is proper development for it ; Brook is completely open and accepting of her kits, and will do her best to support them.
Sexuality is completely up to you as well !
Personality is completely up to you too, just know that Tidalkit took mostly after Brookrun for their traits (e.g., kind, gentle, generous, modest, meek, shy, etc).
