Hi! Thank you very much for your comment!! And sorry my super late reply!
I am terrible with composition. In fact, I don't think much of it when I make the image. I just do the scene and that's it. So when someone praises the composition, it's because I accidentally got it right. lol
But I'm really not good at this and that's probably why you think it's a little off.
I rendered all at once. During postwork (in photoshop), I used masks and separated the background from the foreground. I left the background slightly blurred, slightly darker and colder, but with less contrast than the foreground, which is more saturated and brighter.
(Sorry my english ^^)
"I so could picture this as cover art for a D&D book or module."
Wow thank you again!!

I love your art, congratulations!!!
The only thing that disturbs me is those huge writings at the center of every render! I know many people steal art, but they ruin let's say a 30% of my aesthetic experience
In the end, if someone wanted to steal this, for example, he could remove every logo in a matter of seconds with Photoshop, so the only people that are suffering from this are your fans!

Thank you very much!
I had one of my works stolen once and I have to admit that you have a point. The person who stole my render, painted over it, manipulated and removed my name. This happened on Tumblr and a friend told me so I could take action. Otherwise, I would never know.
I'll think about what you said.
And thank you again.

You're welcome, you deserve it!
Piracy is a bad thing! But you know what? He can fool the fools, but we can tell that's your style, and if he just steals renders somewhere he will never have a believable gallery!
Sometimes I find my stories on websites where I haven't posted them...if they're not making a profit out of that's fine, I just hope more people will find me that way!

How did you achieve the lighting? I'm struggling to light my interior scenes in Daz Studio (I've been doing similar type images). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Oh boy! This render is so old...I don't remember what I did in Daz, but one thing I tell you for sure: I did a lot of postwork.
I used Masks in photoshop to brighten or darken certain parts of the image, increase or decrease contrast, etc. I made a mask separating the table and the character from the background, that way I was able to increase the light highlighting only the parte with the guy and leaving the background less illuminated and more blurred.
I also highlighted some colors and used a very soft brush to create a discrete atmosphere in the room.
I'm sure that the raw render was darker.
Another example; I did the same with this image:
And i keep doing with the most recent scenes, sometimes more visible and sometimes more discreet.
I hope I explained it well, because english is not my first language. But if you have any question, you can ask and i´ll try to answer.

Thank you so much, emarukk!
This story was the one that lasted the longest (4 years). Lately everything I create ends up being put away too fast. And I lost interest fairly often as well.

Really? hehehe I love all my ocs, they are my babies...XD But i think Athdar will be always my fav. ^^

You are welcome!
Sometimes stories fade a way quick. Sometimes they carry for long time.
Yes. Just little bit more miles and I will be there

Thank you!
I did character folder because people were asking so much questions about my characters.
They already had big history so writing was easy (wife and couple of friends helps me with ideas).
When you write slowly before publishin it is easier and text comes long. There characters have been under
the development for more than one year
It would be very nice to see similar about your characters. There are interesting people in pictures.
One nice thing with character folder and when you update that after you introduce characters: Some people start to like some characters and there small surprises with their history. It makes impact.

Something tells me I need to make another pass through your gallery. I think I've missed a few things such as this to add to my Faves collection. Your work is so freaking inspiring. So much story and detail and emotion in everything you do. Athdar looks terrific.

This is amazing work--looks like a scene from a period piece by Hollywood. The candles and lighting are superb. Atmosphere is haunting, gritty, and realistic. Seriously top-notch stuff right here!

Wonderful lighting here, love this soft glow of the candles. And damn, that hand and face are well posed. It looks so realistic and illustration-like at the same time. Like an illustration one would find in those beautiful books with stories and pictures. Beautiful.
