actually the background was removed on earlier version of this deviation. BG was only on the sketch. I removed it because it was stealing attention from the character

I love the translucency on her crown and shoulder spikes.

ooooh love the rimlight / backlighting going on here, how pretty! also like how spikey she is, she reminds me of walking through thistle fields in the summer - you'd always get prickled, even though their purple flowers looked so pretty. or maybe she reminds me of rose stems, thorny yet pliable. very very well done!
