I couldn't think of an other title for this.. well, yesterday I finnaly got my dear Nikon D70s and it's perfect! works excellent
anyway, my beautifull sister and her cat
(that black thing in her hands is cat - on LCD screen you can see all details.. I think)and googles as souvenir from Petersburg - I'll use them again - that's for sure!

I haven't read all the comments, but a few things came to mind.
Firstly I love the composition, it's quirky, its fun, and it's light - the viewer makes what they want of it, and IMO cats will look wherever they damn well like and its perfect.
Secondly, big Queen Amidala vibe about it, which is totally OK. Your sister has amazing features, I wonder what nationality you both have?
Thirdly, the lack of being able to see her eyes - being, of course, windows to the soul - draws me to look at her stunning lips and that sensual off the shoulder touch.
All in all, the photo dances with you, doesn't give you too much, leaves you wanting more (which I'm a sucker for), and is just plain breath-taking; which, at the end of the day, isn't very plain at all. Totally deserving of the DD, and I would love to have it on my wall anyway.

This reminds me of a painting my grandmother had. It was a women in a similar position, holding a polecat (think it was a polecat... haven seen te painting in 10 years).
Anyway,
the photo feels strained. I don't know if you are looking for humor, or if this symbolizes something serious. I don't get it. Should I get it? Maby there is no purpose and meaning with the photo?
Seems sad that you can have a human and a cat in a picture and still get "nothing" out of it.

It seems a bit bland to me, especially for such a strong concept.
There's just not enough here to do the photo justice. It needs dynamics.. something.

Interesting shot... the cat's really odd, but it a good way! I love the way its paw is sorta wrapped around her arm... strange how such a small detail can add so much to a pic.

I don't like it. It looks very unfinished, like it wasn't planned.
The negative space slides my eyes down the right hand side of her and off the picture which is only aided by the off-the-shoulder garment. Her hair is a little fly away and I think should be cleaned up so as to reduce 'clutter' in the image. The composition itself is not the best it can be I think, the cat looking in completely the wrong direction (should be the same as the subject)

I see you love clean and minimalistic works and we have different view to things, for you disorder is unaccaptable and I understand it, but I like it like this
I believe that photo is photo - no manipulations, cleaning allowed, if she have hair like this, I can't change it, if I didn't noticet it when I photographed it, that means that it doesn't have that much importance, tha comosition is very centred for me, it makes black line if you notice only black spots and I just loved that they doesn't look at the same direction, same direction is overused and boring and not so original...
anyway really glad you expressed your opinion!

You know it's so funny, looks so surreal and out of this world, and yet strangely natural. There is a vibrancy in the red but it is contrasted with the serenity in her face (what we can see of it anyhow). Very lovingly captured, I love it.

I'm allergic to cats, so, yea, the goggles aren't such a bad idea.... But I still adore kitties. I think the red, black, and white go so nicely together and the black border really pulls the photo together.

this cat is just made for 'cat allergic people'! she doesn't cause any allergic, because she's bald, well this one isn't she's brash for breeders, but she doesn't cause allergy anyway

for some odd reason..the title fits perfectly..cuz what could you really name it?..haha..and due to the numbers..it kinda gives off a sci-fi feel..that is..in addition to the goggles and all..and i really like how you gave it a black frame..since it goes well with the red b/g..i also like your sister's pose..it shows her softness [with her cat]..yet due to her serious expression [and goggles] it gives her a sense of authority as well..or maybe i'm reading too deeply into that..haha..and i'm just loving how the cat isn't really paying attention..since you can tell in his expression that something else has caught his eye..great job..

Interesting subject, nice cropping, good shadow detail, very good job
It would have been nice to see the cat's face more, but there's only so much you can do about that, animals will do what they please, especially cats.
Technically speaking, it's a great photography. I don't quite understand the subject matter, but who cares
