Yeah it was a pretty good plot twist that I don't think many people saw coming. I remember watching it when it was posted like in 1 am in the morning and I was screaming at my screen at that moment at the end.

Kinda makes me think about an AU where TOME's characters are only created by their players and then, left alone to interact; where they're self-conscious of their personalities and behaviors, but as consequence, carry some of their creators' thoughts and even pains.

I do intend to make a free to play game based on TOME, though it will be similar to a Megaman Battle Network game, where you follow the party through everything. (And of course, I'd add in a few arcs in the game of my own creation, using fan characters created by people who submit them to me) So it won't be much other than a TOME rpg.

Haha, it'll be a while before VR systems become more mainstream. From what I understand, the Oculus Rift isn't even 100% finished yet, and that's just visual. It's going to be a long while before technology can reach full immersion.

Oh god, I don't want a bad main character!Seriously though, I would've enjoyed the show much more had it followed either Asuna, Klein, or Agil. They were all far more interesting than Kirito, and all had actual character development. It would've been okay to keep Kirito in the story, but the over powered bad-ass can't be the main character, it gets boring.

exactly, nobody want's overpowered characters. maybe powerful, maybe wise, but nothing that makers him seem more powerful then anything else in the game so much that the writers have to basically either dues ex machina, or end up leaving out information, just for the story to seem balanced.
remember how in one episode of the anime he had an ability that healed a butt ton of his HP every 10 seconds or something? and how that same ability is never brought up in any episode after that? this is an extreme case of lazy writing.
hence why i hate any of the fanfiction i find that make one character overpowered compared to everyone else, cause it's just not fair and very uninteresting

or gary-stu, depending on the gender. hence why if i do make a character, i might make them powerful or wise, but i never make them seemingly invincible and never win every fight, at least not alone. especially in the case of enemies who are supposed to be powerful, cause you've got to give the bad guys something to work with too

It would be pretty sweet. The major features I think would be the Character customization, the Hook-up to the game(which many people speculate is just a helmet that uses just your brain activity to control your character) and the Social Media part. I would definitely play it. Also I've asked Chris before in a livestream, and he said that the quest givers are actually hired by NetKings Software to roleplay and just interact with the players. So again, it would be a pretty sweet game.

Well, I didn't. But some people like did. It's a theory that has been on TOME's TV Trope's page for a while. And some people suspected it because of many clues such as Zetto and Kirb saying some of the same lines, having the same voice(though Chris credited Zetto's actor as Tony A. Campbell, it was actually him all along), and other clues.

The weirdest thing is that this retroactively makes the whole plot not make sense.
Why didn't Kirb just tell GC about the virus so he could use the Drain Edge to complete the program a lot quicker?

As much as I would love to discuss about one of my most favorite shows at this moment, I usually don't like to get into controversial topics. Which this subject is(just read the comments on TOME episode 10). I, personally would just like to see how the show plays out; and trust in Chris' writing to the point where I usually don't question it. Thanks for the comment though! I love to see other TOME fans such as yourself discussing the show in the comments of my art.

See, the problem with that train of thought is that if you DON'T question it, it won't help him get any better.
And I'm interested in how it plays out too. I just wish they would stop wasting good opportunities and characters in exchange for more of the AlphaxFlamegirl subplot that's been a foregone conclusion since Episode 1.

Right, and I'm not ruling that out. It's just that there's a lot of conspicuous holes in this story that could have been covered in a couple lines of dialogue in their respective episodes, and the more it happens, the more I fear for the future of this show. Not that I think it won't keep going, but that they won't learn from their mistakes.
I'm still really interested in this universe, but...it just gets very frustrating at times. Maybe they could bring on a guest writer for a stand-alone episode? It'd be neat to see how someone else plays with the toys in this sandbox.

That would be a good idea. One aspect I love about modern cartoons like on CN are that they have multiple writers who all have wonderful ideas for the characters and world.
