Found amongst the various debris of the cluttered room, while he was trying to find a bit of space to sit and read on while Hanna slept, was a picture that looked as though it must have slipped out from some sort of photo album.

Bringing it into the dim lamplight Saxon realized it was an old snapshot of himself and his energetic roommate and it had been scribbled on. Bernard squinted, and was able to make out the three words-

"Best friends forever" surrounded by girly hearts.

If he had any blood in his face he would have blushed but having lived with the redhead for a few months now he had come to know what friendship meant to the boy and the feeling of being touched and slightly proud overcame his feeling of being kinda creeped out, and he dropped the slip of glossy paper safely onto Hannas small, dusty, desktop quietly and almost smiled as he went back to reading his book.
