I won't complain that Temeraire already has a girlfriend, because it's just a detail (having a girlfriend didn't stop him from mating with many other dragonesses). What is more important is that I find it merely offensive both to Temeraire and to Naomi Novik, to place this character beside Saphira. I find it offensive, because while Temeraire is well developed and interesting character, Saphira is one of the most bland and poorly made dragons I've ever seen. And I think I won't even say a word about the "level" of Paolini's books. So when I even see the idea of crossing those books over with Novik's far better, far more adult, far more intelligent, and far more original novels... OMG, this is just blasphemy.
Oh yeah - and I see you've based your work on how Saphira looked in the movie. After reading Paolini's books, I thought there's no worse way to present the dragons. But the movie convinced me that it is possible - you just need to make a hydrid of an eel (skin), dog (snout), swan (neck) and an eagle (wings), and then insolently claim that it is a dragon.
Screw Paolini, screw Saphira, screw those who made the movie and this parody of a dragon - screw all, who ruin the reputation of fantasy genre and convince all people, that it is a genre for children (not too bright children, to be precise) and idiots. We have truly sick times now - those, who can't write, become writers, and those, who can't sing, become singers.
