Description Something I did mostly at school over the week. Started around Tuesday, and did bits and pieces in my free time. About 5-6 hours of work! I wish I could have added more contrast to the darks, but I lost a lot of my drawing pencils. The darkest graphite I had was 2B.

Probably my favorite graphite drawing to date, and probably one of my best too. It looks next to photo realistic in my sketchbook. Messed around in Photoshop a bit to fix the contrast and values that were messed up in the scanner.

The only thing I don't like about this one is that the eye seems a little flat to me...

I think you can go darker where its darker unless you dont have the pencil for it than I understand but, dont be afraid to put in those dark tones

Wow, very nice, and your right, from what i know, this is the best to date.

However, the white head feathers with the crown could use a bit more detail to show it's still a mass of feathers, and not some blan white thing.

Very good pencils work. You've mangaed to capture the face perfectly. Might I suggest that, if you are doing a portrait like that, to fade the dark area off as you move away from the focal point (the face). It would produce a much more 'finished' effect to the whole image.

Purely freelance. I wish it was for a class so I could get something for it. xD I wish I had a full year of art instead of just one semester.

Looks fantasic! You're shading is becoming quite nice.

I need to learn to use different types of graphite pencils when drawing. I tend to only use one type. I bought a box of several graphite pencils and have yet to use them.
