This is a really nice story, but there a few things I don't get.
After Afterbloom say the corpse and ran, why did the village get destroyed and all the ponies in the town turned evil?

This is how HI have it. Sunny town turn all sunny and happy when a pony is near by. Its an illusion to lure ponies in that area. After a visit to that cottage everything turns back to it current state, which is in ruin and dark. Same effect happens with the ponis that reside in the town. They are illusions and convert back after there target pony visits the Cottage. This and other part if the history will be mention and explained as the series continues. Hoped that helped a bit.

Well that was cool, I even understood the story better than in the game.

And even tuen, some part have been modified. From the cliffhanger on, everything os of my own interpritation. Ruby is completely different then from the original. Other then that glad you like what I have so far and hope you'll stick around for the continuation.

Just found this comic out. I am fairly new to this whole MLP but I must admit the fan fiction video game was great and this comic only enhances the experience. There are a few things I didn't agree with but all in all, I find it entertaining. Have a nice day.

I'm obviously late to this party, but I just found and read your SOTB series. Wow! This is some really great work! The first, maybe, five pages I could tell you were figuring out your style still, but everything after that has been pure gold. I can't imagine how much time you put into this!
I loved your interpretation of the story, as well. It's always a little hard to tell a story from a video game. They're often disjointed and rely heavily on the action of the game to make them exciting. You did an amazing job! You had me until the very end. And I love the little teaser at the end there. It makes me think that you would be competent to develop this into a continuing story all your own.

thanks! and you too. Also your right about the beginning. this comic was pretty much my practice and first attempt at drawing MLP. I would like to apologies about spelling errors that you may have seen as well. when this gets colored it will be fixed. and this did take some time ranging 2-3 months of work, used 10 pencils, and a full 9x12 100 pg sketch book.

Eh, I preferred the original story.
Your changes removed quite a bit of what made the story properly creepy, and I must say I find that a tad disappointing.
I would be wrong to say your interpretation was bad, because honestly it wasn't. It just wasn't quite as good as the one told in the game.
In other words it would've been better if you hadn't altered the major plot points like you did here. There's never a problem with an alteration to minor things, but what you changed are arguably the most important and significant parts to the story even if they weren't the most obvious.
But I suppose it's good as is, even if it does not quite compare to the original telling. Can't expect everything to be perfect.
I hope this didn't come across as too negative.
