Description
With a great deal of reluctance and hesitation, Jennifer finally allows Tanner to coax her back into the house; leaving Oscar and Barney to their play.
"Barney said Oscar was a powerful psychic." Tanner tells her once they're in the living room.
"He's still growing." Jennifer replies; "But yes, he can read minds and move things with telekinesis like I can. But he also gets premonitions sometimes. Visions of the future, or possible future I'm not sure. And I'm pretty sure he can travel to the astral plane, which is probably where he met Barney in the first place."
"Huh, all that and he's not quite seven yet?" Tanner says in wonder.
"How could I be so stupid." Jennifer exclaims; "He's told me about Barney countless times and I just thought it was just an imaginary friend. I must be a terrible mother!" she moans.
Chuckling at her Tanner replies; "You're definitely not a terrible mother. How could you know? It ain't like you could see the dragon. You're just a busy mother, what with juggling your position and your family constantly. That's all. Don't beat yourself up over it, Oscar's obviously fine."
Jennifer sighs heavily, and then gives Tanner a grateful look and says; "Thanks. Not sure I believe you, but it's nice to hear."
Stepping closer, Tanner says; "You heard what your son said, didn't you?"
With a slightly confused expression Jennifer replies; "What?"
Smiling, Tanner says; "He called me your boyfriend." As he pulls her closer for a warm kiss.
After a few minutes another voice breaks the silence in the room; "Yup, boys got a dragon for a babysitter, yet here I am. 'Watch the kid', they said. Not like I'm gonna be able to do anything folks!" Tanner's cane grumbles aloud.
