Description
Day tripping in Rhode Island I came across an old derelict textile mill that was falling into ruin. I photo documented the abandoned location and this is my first translation of one of the photographs into another medium. In this rendition it is oil pastels on 40 pound watercolor paper. The frame I made from an old bed frame I found in the Mohave desert on another day trip. I liked the way the sun bleached wood complimented the scene of dilapidation and decay. Or as I like to think of it as Nature reclaiming what man has relinquished to chaos.
