Description
The "Union" was a Peruvian corvette, originally ordered to be built by the government of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War and which during its service participated in the Spanish-South American War
and in the War of the Pacific.
It had a teak wood hull, nailed and clad in copper, reinforced to the waterline with iron plates. It had corvette rigging, mixed, barbet battery.
