EDIT 2024: My laptop kinda never recovered well enough to finish that art, so I'm just moving on to 2024. I made 2023 a little more presentable at least. I do have a new computer, new tablet, and everything, but I'm just seriously gonna leave 2023 be. 2024 Rahz is due in 4 days, so... meh. Pick your battles.

EDIT 2024 Part 2: Yeehaw! Changed the art right on time-- though I changed the file a little after because I realized the scythe was chopped off. Whoops! Happy Birthday, Rahz! I'm glad I was able to upload this without too many problems this time. I can't believe he's 32 now. Wow. ;o; I look back at my art sometimes and see some... really blah art periods-- though I know a lot of those times were 100% me just wanting to get this annual art out of the way between college and such... aight, so as I was typing that, I suddenly decided to just put a little more into the art because I realized that unlike all those times before, I do have a little more time. Like, yeah I have stuff to do, but nothing too pressing. I just like it a lot more even if it's not perfect. I dunno, as I was saying, I was looking back at these Rahz updates over the years and seasons and like sometimes I was kinda impressed with what I did because I often can't be bothered to do anything similar now.;; It's mostly because of time and it's not like I use Rahz for anything anymore. This is kinda just something I like to do just because I think Rahz is one of the only characters I have that age regularly. I also designed Rahz to be a character I'd always want to draw, so I do enjoy it. And then I was thinking as I looked through the years like dang the art would just get worse. XD Like I said though, a lot of it was about the time I was able to even put into them. But I thought like hey how sad that I like drawing so much yet can't even really make time to do it well (especially digitally because I've still been putting a lot into pencil and paper)? So I put a little more effort in so I can get myself back on that track.

I like this design though. I wanted a citrus type of color scheme at first-- citrus yellow as the main color, but I know Rahz doesn't like citrus. I was thinking, "Well, just because you're wearing citrus-looking colors doesn't mean it's actually citrus", but I couldn't do it because I knew deep inside it was just citrus and Rahz would be kinda down about that-- it's for his birthday, after all. I was going to go grape again, but then I ended up thinking I really wanted yellow. So I went with a honey-inspired theme, and I think it fits him really well. ouo ...Except lowkey I feel like this is something I'd wear-- like I feel as if I have some of these items in my closet, so now I just feel kinda bad again. lol But as I look at the updates again, yeah I guess it's more that my style slowly became influenced by Rahz's style. I, too, wear leggings under shorts with a tank top/vest/yadda on top. I guess after some time I thought, "Actually, what Rahz is wearing looks comfy" and maybe I eventually started wearing his style too. Spooky. I think what makes me feel a little bad is just the color scheme. It's a little earthy, and that's very much more of my style. But if it was less of an earthy yellow then it would have been too citrus-y! I can't win, I guess.

Anyway... Happy Birthday! Let's make 2024 a good year! /EDIT

EDIT 2023: Ugh. My laptop has been updating like all day and was just freezing every time you did something before that. This is all I can really do right now. I'm in Japan on my phone at the moment. It should be Rahz's birthday here and in Cali if I have my timezones right, so I guess I made it on time just
... not with a colored piece.;;; I'll finish coloring whenever I can. Like I colored some before today, but my laptop today is just... ?? My whole day was wasted just waiting on the laptop to do something and waiting on laundry. Ugh.

EDIT: Wow. Happy Birthday, Rahz! I can't believe he's thirty. ;_; I feel like a proud parent although Rahz is actually older than me. I did miss Wasy's birthday yesterday because I was being superstitious, so I feel bad. I'll doodle him really quick. I also feel bad that I have to throw on this incomplete art for Rahz's birthday. I'm super busy and it's uh... wild. Everyone gets the short end of the stick this year. I'm sorry. I would say I'll finish this, but I have a feeling that I won't. Sorry, Rahz, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :'^D THE BIG THREE OH! And soon my brother's birthday will follow and he, too, will be thirty. How the time flies. /EDIT

Personality: One might describe Rahz as an obnoxious and annoying villager that loves attention and finding out what gets under other people’s skin. Most of his annoyances are done jokingly, but he often loses the sense to tell when to stop, so it’s not uncommon for him to offend or cause others to assume odd things about his mindset. Or he might know when to stop but he might keep something up just to keep someone’s attention. He can keep up a really off-kilter or dumb joke for years-- or forever, without cracking and saying, “Just kidding”. He might not care if someone understands him or not, it depends on if he cares about what someone thinks about him or not. It’s easy to label Rahz as a rude jerk, because sometimes he is; out of all the types of attention he can receive, he feels that negative attention is pretty easy to get. Despite this, he’s still a pretty positive person that loves being around people, even if it’s just to bother them. Rahz sincerely thinks that most people are his friends even if they’re definitely not, and if he doesn’t get along with someone, he’s sure that they’ll get along better in the future even if there’s no chance of it happening. He can have a regular conversation without attempting to be annoying, but he has to have a good reason.

Backstory: As a high school kid, Rahz wasn’t really interested in most of his subjects except for P.E., science, and sometimes math. Upon entering college, he found that a lot of the classes that he wanted to take for science were full, so he took a couple of horticulture and agricultural science classes that still counted toward the science major that he was aiming for just to be able to do something. He ended up really liking the classes and switched his major. After taking more horticulture and agriculture classes and doing some volunteer farm work, he ended up with an internship as a farmhand that he also enjoyed a lot. The farmer for the internship helped him find some cheap farmland that he could buy or rent. Out of all the places that he could have picked, Rahz decided on Strawberry Village because of the weather, and also because it wasn’t too far from home. He’s still working to pay off the farm, suddenly Animal Crossing.

Likes: Birthdays, anything where there's an excuse to give things to others, grapes or grape-flavored things, taking care of things, horror movies, vegetables, jazz, big band, musicals, swing, light pain, science, attention, arcade games, checkers, yoyos, records/record players, spices, amethyst, catfish, cow, mangoes

Rahz finally has his crop rotation down...sort of! Here's a list of crops you can buy and how much they cost for each season they're available in. I can not find a better way to organize this. I've tried a lot of stuff. OTL And sorry if Rahz is overpriced. I don't know anything about HM economy. :UU N/A yet means Rahz can't grow it/can't grow it yet either because he doesn't have the tools or skills, but plans to. Of course grapes are there secretly.
