Yes, she has a snaketail that's pretty much like a living snake; it will react to it's surroundings and things like that.
As to why it's disgrutled...well, it's the moody snake of her body, the ones in her hair are a bit more cheerful and upbeat.
Also, the snaketail is kinda chubby too if you notice how 'thick' it is.

Is she actually a mama? Or is the name because of her motherly figure?

Both, actually. Since I plan for her to have a family, composed of the monster children the Echidna from mythology had, as well as Typhon (whom I'll draw at a later time).
And yes, she most certainly does. Although you may need to be careful on certain days, being she may cook humans instead of sweet and surgary snacks.

Ah, good, the mythology gave me the tell. Echidnas are the other Monotreme so I was a bit confused.
