This suddenly reminded me of one comic where, during Christmas, Donald and the boys are Christmas caroling while Scrooge is cooped up in his money bin and mansion all night. They get to Scrooge's mansion, and Donald says, "We shouldn't bother. I don't think Scrooge know what the real meaning of Christmas is." All the while, Scrooge had been reading letters from a mysterious girl that she had sent him throughout her life, thanking him for what he'd done for her and telling her about what was going on in her life.
It has been the only comic to date to make me cry.
I don't know why I thought of that while looking at these panels.
