Description At the beginning there had been only black... a black space without any lights.
At the beginning there had been harmony within their alliance.
But all peace was doomed to fade away some day and Sailor Alpha Centauri bc - Rania Doltero - knew about it well.
What had happened to their alliance a few months ago was going to destroy every peace very soon, but she wasn't ready to give up on it.
What she was ready for was to face the culprit of the fading peace and to send her away from the alliance.
Her heart was aching when she had made those decision but she needed to do so.
"You called for me?", she suddenly heard a voice, a gentle one, one she would always recognize and never forget.
She averted her gaze from the sky and turned around to face the woman who had now approached her.
For a moment she simply looked into her face, looking at the woman she had called her best friend for years.
"Rania?", Tau Ceti b frowned, when Alpha Centauri bc slowly started to walk towards her.
"You have fooled me", she said, without any warnings and Tau Ceti b stepped back a little.
"I thought you were acting this way because you wanted to help me, to make me stronger and give me a better chance to keep control over everything!", Alpha Centauri bc continued and wasn't even giving Tau Ceti be a chance to say something while she walked close towards her, "Keliar! You have been my best friend, my sister, my right hand and you did all this to push me away and take over my place?"
"How can you say such a thing, Rania? To me, of all the members of alliance!" Keliar asked, concerned. Until that day, she had been sure that their leader would have trusted her with her own life and now, all of sudden, she wasn't blind anymore on her actual plans.
"Who told you these things, who was able to change your mind so quickly?" she, than, inquired. She needed to know who had discovered her true intentions so that, Keliar was sure, she could take her revenge on the betrayer. Yes, a part of her still loved Rania as an actual sister, but she didn't deserve all that power, that power belonged to her or so it would have been, if what she had in mind hadn't been discovered.
Rania widened her eyes. She still denied it?
"Stop making fun of me! I know about everything! Your secret and the man who has made you this! My sister, you have changed and I am sure I won't be able to trust you as I did once before!"
Then she turned away from Keliar.
"Kelly, you have been reckless, you have been whispering too much about your plans and my loyal soldiers might have heard it...", Rania was sure, that she had to protect the one from Keliar who had told her about her dearest sisters' betrayal.
"You may think about it but I am not going to tell you who told me the truth... I can't believe that I was bling that long and I wasn't able to see how much you changed... Keliar - no, Sailor Tau Ceti b, you should leave our sisterhood..."
Keliar shivered. She even knew about Ledin? How was it even possible?
The spy, her "loyal soldier" surely was aware of way too many things... Of course, Rania wasn't going to tell her who that was, but Keliar was sure she would have been able to discovered it by herself. Maybe it would have taken her some time, but her revenge would have stricken once for all.
She was so busy planning her vengeance that she wasn't even sure she had heard the last bit Rania had just said correctly and when her mind finally processed it, it was received with mixed feelings.
Keliar was angry, Keliar was upset, Keliar was... sad.
"You're asking me to leave?!" she screamed towards the one she used to call sister, in disbelief.
That surely wasn't what she had planned, things shouldn't have gone this way...
Rania closed her eyes and a single tear left the corner of her eye.
"I am not asking you to leave, this is an order!", she said, voice calm, but inside her body, Rania was angry.
She wanted to hate Keliar for her betrayal but she hated herself even more for being blind and losing the person she loved the most.
"What else do you expect me to do? Do you think I am telling you to stay and act as if nothing happened? You were trying to fool me... us... Everyone!"
Keliar stood there, frozen, her eyes fixed of Rania's back, without actually seeing it. Her sight had blurred, tears of anger streaming down her face, even if she didn't want them at all. Yes, she was the one that had betrayed her sister, but why was she feeling so betrayed as well?
With rage, Keliar whipped out her tears, not wanting to think of the reason why she was crying and, instead, screamed once again against her now ex-leader.
"Well, if you think that I will act as nothing happened, you're fooling yourself once again! This is not over!"
"This is definitely not over!", Rania agreed when she turned back to face Keliar.
Her eyes had changed thwir color, like they always did when she was angry but they had never changed when it was about Keliar.
Instead of the soft blue they were now in a dark and dangerous red.
"I once again tell you to leave or nothing would stop me from attacking you, Keliar", she said, voice still incredible calm.
This had always been like this. Even during the hottest battles, Rania had beeen the cool person while Keliar had been the one who was hot-headed.
"And then I will tell your boyfriend, fiancee, husband or whatever he is to you that makes you take his words more serious than mine, to collect all the little pieces of you..."
A black ball with a dark purple glow had formed in Rania's right hand.
"Choose wisely, Sailor Tau Ceti b!"
A part of her was aware of that change even before Rania turned around, but seeing those dark red eyes directed towards her, still took Keliar by surprise. Knowing what it meant and hearing that coolness in her voice, as if the situation didn’t bother her at all, made her even more angrier.
“Who said I’m not going to attack you first, Rania?” Keliar, once again, screamed, irate, while a glowing white ball appeared on her left hand.
Hearing that Rania still dared to nominate Ledin really was the last straw. Keliar exploded. Words of anger, no matter if they were true or not, started to flow copiously out her mouth.
“You know nothing about love, Rania! And you never will! All your able to do now is mocking me because I found it? You’re envious, Rania, just envious! And you ask me to choose wisely? Maybe you should too, or it’ll be your so-called loyal soldier to collect your little pieces instead!”
"All you're able to do is denying the truth, Rania!" Keliar said out loud, her own globe growing bigger and bigger too.
And no, she wasn't referring to the stupid things about love that her former friend had just said or, at least, not just to them. Rania was denying the fact that she wasn't the one meant to be the leader of the Alliance, but she probably trying to convince even herself of the contrary.
"Don't you even try to make me feel guilty about it, we both know who really hides darkness within!" Keliar accused her, before jumping as well and counterattack.
"What kind of truth are you talking about? Your imaginary thruth that you'll be the better leader? Noone has ever complained and you can't tell me that I have treated anyone of the sisterhood bad!"
Internally she rolled her eyes when Keliar was talking about her powers.
"Why is always darkness the bad thing?", she asked and wanted to continue but the balls collided.
She landed on the ground, in a kneeling position.
"Light is blinding and that is what you have been all the time!"
A dark purple aura has formed around her, now she had dark balls in both hands.
Without any hesitation she threw them against Keliar and jumped again, followed them toward her former friend, to attack her with her own body.
Keliar didn’t even want to try to reason with her this time, Rania was just too blinded by her powers and anger to actually listen to her, no matter how calm she tried to sound when talking.
Instead, Keliar raised shield around her to be able to block out her next attack, not expecting her former friend to follow it.
Horrified, she watched, helpless, as Rania clashed against her light shield and badly fell on the ground, pushed away by the energy that it had generated to contrast her darkness globes.
Keliar dissolved it as soon as she noticed that Rania was still breathing, she turned her back to her and went towards the exit. When she reached it, she turned around for the last time.
“This is not how it should have gone, Ran…” she said, just before disappearing from her sight.
Rania screamed in pain when her body collided with Keliar's shield and she was thrown through the room and clashed against the wall.
She moaned in pain when she fell to the ground and just heard Keliar's voice in a blurr. It sounded like it was far away and then there was nothing.
Rania needed a moment to collect herself together again and internally she vowed a cruel revenge to that guy who had taken her best friend away from her.
