Finished commission for The dragon is pattered after an "Asagi" koi, while the two koi by its side are "Showa" and "Ai-Goromo". Considering I don't usually do water scenes, I'm very happy with the way this turned out. Drawn in pen, colored with Photoshop and Painter.Artwork (c) me

I especially like the colours of the dragon and water. Brighter green of the lily pads stands out from the picture, maybe a little too much even. I wonder what it would look like if their color would be darker, closer to the hue of tortoise. Though, it is possibly just in my eyes, I'm such a sissy and never dare to use too daring colour-contrasts myself.
