Personality
Nami, to many, is a bit insufferable. She's upbeat, bubbly, and says "like" in between every other word. It's easy to make her cry, so many people feel like they need to tip-toe around what they say to her. Though she's the definition of an airhead, she's an incredibly caring person. She's deeply empathetic and thinks about everyone's well-being. Though she's been incredibly lazy her whole life, seeing everyone put their life on the line inspires her to actually work hard and become a better person.
Likes: Bright colors, loud music, makeup, beaches, sugary drinks, spicy food anything cute.
Dislikes: Bugs, injuries (both to herself and others), getting dirty.
Hobbies: Karaoke bars, tanning, shopping.
Quirk and Abilities Quirk: Heal
Type: Emitter
Description: Nami produces tears that possess potent healing abilities. Contact with her tears will amplify and quicken her target's healing process. With Heal, some grave injuries requiring months to heal can be healed completely in a matter of seconds. The healing process, however, is not without its cost. It requires stamina from the receiver's part in order to work, leaving said receiver very exhausted after the process is completed if an injury is, or injuries are, serious enough. Heal cannot regrow lost body parts
+ Advantages:
- Her healing tears are up to par with Recovery Girl's.
- Her tears don't have to be fresh- they can be encapsulated in a bottle and used by different people, for on-the-go healing.
- Disadvantages:
- The healing process relies on the receiver's stamina in order to work. It leaves them exhausted.
- Depending on how much she cries, Nami can become very dehydrated and needs to have frequent fluids in order to keep her hydration levels up.
- She is super ugly when she cries.

Biography:
Nami was never meant to be a hero. She had no desire for it, no drive, no motivation to put in the back breaking work and dedication it took to make it to the top. She was always very content to live a normal, average life. Her quirk was very promising- a healing ability, passed down in her family for generations. But unlike her mother’s soft touch, or her grandmother’s sweet kisses, Nami’s comes in the form of her tears. Even just a single tear drop displayed potent healing properties. And this was very fortunate, as Nami cries a LOT- over everything. A sad movie, puppies in the window, something she remembered happening in 4th grade that embarrassed her to no end- anything makes her cry. Still, she never had any intention of carrying her grandmother’s torch into the pro-hero business and sought a degree in marketing after high school (and ultimately dropped out before earning her degree in that, too).
Nami had lived her care-free days by going to karaoke bars, taking frequent trips to America, and tanning on the beach. That was until her she got the phone call from her grandmother.
Her grandmother, Chiyo, took the role of Head Nurse at pro-hero school, UA, after her retirement from the limelight. She was never one to ask for help, but now she informed her granddaughter that with this new class attending and constantly getting banged up, she felt exhausted and immensely understaffed. She extended the offer to Nami to act as her assistant, and put her quirk to good use for once in her life.
Nami was never one to deny her grandmother favors (and she just so happened to be between jobs), so she accepts the offer to “intern” under Recovery Girl and help out the staff at UA.
Trivia:
- Nami drinks a lot of Gatorade to restore her electrolytes. If not, she dehydrates and tires herself out very quickly! She even brought a mini fridge to the clinic where she keeps it stocked. The blue one is her favorite.
- The students dread getting treated by her because when she sees them hurt, she turns into a sobbing mess. It’s loud, it’s messy- it’s not cute.
- After a month of smearing her makeup while tending to students, Nami bought high-end, water proof makeup to last all day, even when she cries. She’s still looking for that perfect, smudge free mascara.
- During her teen years, Nami was VERY into harajuku culture. She’s still got some accessories from that era- and the photos to prove it.
