Here are a couple random characters I've made up. Penny and Blake. Penny's a fashion designer and really daydreamy, but she doesn't get pushed around. She's a confident gal! Blake's an extreme perfectionist grammar nazi and has to have everything clean and set in the right place around him, or he goes crazy. He's got a really good heart, but he refuses to show how deeply he cares about others.

Anywho, I'm trying to come up with a color scheme of the two characters, and I thought, "What the heck? I'll just make a coloring contest on DA so I can use you guys for my inspiration!" If ya win, I'll mail you a high-quality printout of whichever drawing in this here gallery that you'd like. I'll be judging based on color scheme and then actual coloring TALENT, meaning good shading technique and all that stuff. And, ya know, I'm a big sucker for originality as well.

After you've colored it, submit it to your gallery and give me a link. In the text below your submission, please give me the credit for the lineart and characters. I'm submitting this lineart in 300 dpi, which is quite large. After you color it, please submit it at a smaller dpi so that people can see your whole picture at once. Gyargh big pictures are my pet peeve!

And just so you know, starting tomorrow (Monday the 14th), I'll be taking a hiatus from all the fun Internets that I am terribly addicted to, including a few forums and DA. I am seriously addicted, and I need to force myself to stay away. So when you finish your coloring, don't worry if I haven't replied to you! I'll come back on the 28th, the deadline of the contest. I'll miss you all, but man, I'd improve so much faster if I weren't on the dang Internet all the time! And yup, I'm just neglecting too many things.

If you're thinking about entering but aren't sure, DO IT!!!! It would make me so happyyyyy! This is my first coloring/drawing contest. If it's successful, I'll totally do more and maybe we can get some regular contests going or something Maybe even start a community! And then I won't be the only one supplying the lineart.
