Melpomene, the Muse of Tragedy.

She was giving me some issues, I had to re-draw a lot of her outfit several times before I was happy with it. I also struggled with her shoes for a time before finally just going with the ones I had in the first place. She's pretty tall to start with but I think she wears these shoes to make herself even taller, and therefore more intimidating.

Melpomene and the other Muses appear in my Rise of the Guardians fanfic. She wasn't originally going to have that big of a role but she forced her way in there and is now one of the more prominent characters. She's a drama queen who tends to cause trouble for other characters. It's a subject of debate among the other Muses as to whether or not Melpomene attracts or is attracted to tragic beings. In my story, she's been spending some time with Pitch Black.

I'm also developing my Muses outside the RotG universe so that I can use them for my directed themes class, so definitely expect the other character sheets soon as they have now become an assignment for me. I'm still not sure who will be next, I was planning on Thalia, but Polyhymnia finally told me what she looks like! We'll see.
