Description Portrait of the famous sauropod brachiosaurus altithorax. This jurassic giant was 23 metres long, and had a weight of ca 30 tons(other sources say up to 40 tons). It was a peaceful herbivore with large forelimbs and shorter hind legs, making it to appear like a gigantic dinosaur giraffe. Brachiosaurus means arm-lizard and was found in north america. It is one of the most famous sauropods.

Nice drawing. though the head looks more like Giraffatitan... I'm working on skeletals of both animals, soon you will see exactly what they looked like and how their proportions were different (Scott Hartman also did this and came up with some very cool results, but I think he didn't put enough detail or follow the published figures precisely enough).
