Behold, an artist which I very much admire and follow closely: This is the first part of a series I plan to do which will feature the characters of Floppy, Vap and Charmy, quite possibly my favorite dA alliance. I don't know why, but I see the stuff these people do and I really want to meet them. The whole trio looks like a bunch of fun to IM or Gaia with.

So this piece was an adventure. I have to say, my pen-work is always getting better and this really is one of the best linearts I've done in a long time. For the coloring, I needed to take a bit of a new direction because of the lineless color transitions. Instead of manually selecting the colors like I usually do, I used the 'darken' and 'vivid light' options coupled with a feathered pen. It looks different and I'm not sure if I like it yet, but we'll see where it goes. I'm still not satisfied with the hair, but meh... it wouldn't be the first time I'm unsatisfied with my hair coloring jobs. I need to find a method that works for me eventually... And the background... something random. I used a lot of Neko's pictures as reference to find that she just puts wierd stuff into her BGs, so I just got the brush and decided to just mess with it until I found something that worked. This is what came out. Don't ask me about the sun and moon. I don't know either. (And if you're wondering, she's a llama)

I really hope that Miss Neko likes it. I put more time into it than I planned, especially considering how crazy-busy I am right now, but I feel it's worth it. If I'm going to give a gift to an artist I've never met before, I'm gonna give something worth giving!
