The result of a galactic game of telephone, the Hecatoncheires origin lies with the Volador. Harrison's Armory acquisition of its advanced blink space teleportation technology leads to the development of the Sunzi. This, in turn, leads to the Sunzi's R&D project file being obtained by a Horus cell after a daring hack, and modified with estoeric technology to produce the Hecatoncheires. Where the Sunzi is developed to support its allies with multiple short blinkspace teleportation jumps, the Hecatoncheires is solely focused on maintaining a single stable localized blinkspace portal, a task which took up almost half the mech's weight to accomplish. In turn, the Hecatoncheires can draw immense power from this portal, siphoning power from almost any where it wants, displacing incoming attacks into the void, and can turn it into a weapon by reallocating the portal to point to the heart of a star, or worse, an unknown metavault, to decimate its enemy with the barely-contained stream of energy.
