4rth chibi comission for morgendaemmerung thank you so much for one more!!! So this time its Fushigi Yugi themed and Nuriko( one of my fave characters in the manga at least until the 5th volume) carrying Byakurens( i dint knew much about her cause i stop the reading ) dead body. Its the saddest pic ive ever done i think.
The pose was higly inspired by a very sad Zervis( from fairy tail) moment and by Hercules rescuing Megs soul from the underworld in the disney animation. I tried to keep Yuu Watase beatifull style( the regular style not the chibis style, thats pretty cute too^^) as much as i could cause i always really loved the details and general look. I tried to keep the colors very soft. In the coloring i used faber castell super soft pencils, watercolor pencils , Regular scholar ones ( theyre are better for tiny details ), Three china inks ( black, green and orange) my mecanical pencil helped a little with the shading in the white areas but to make the pleats look more realistic and textured i used a tiny bit of watercolors( and in the grey case the watercolor version of the watercoor pencil ), poster colors( i used blue, pink , silver in her dress and a little bit of gold its hard to see tho) and white acrilic paint for highlights.
I hope the colors look close to the refs and i made Byakuren more pale. I hope her hair looks ok too( im really prod of Nurikos hair its the best anime hair ive ever done and its mosty pencil colors and white acrilic paint ). I tried to make the background very ligth and soft with the petals ( the ligth pink are petals) and some abstract colors cause i wanted them to be the focus and didnt wanted to make it too dark.. Apart from the fact i tend to make things too sparkly and i think something more soft wold fit best this one.
