Absolutely! They are working dogs, won't get that easily distracted and wander off on their own, so nice to take on rides without leash. They enjoy the company of animals, horses included...just don't let them herd the foals

if you'd like to acquire a dog please check the group PeninsulaTrottingDog -> Dog ownership and Registration

you can get one through requesting an import for 50points, request breedings from registered active dogs, or you can wait to see which imports are being reclaimed to buy one of those
