Description
This was done for a project of mine derived from the Horus Heresy series. In my version, some of the traitor legions actually remain loyal, and (this is the key to this aircraft's creation) the loyalists after the fighting lost many of their aircraft and vehicles. Thus, they were forced to replenish their motor pool by accepting older-style equipment or hand-crafting their own designs. This fighter, named the Aquila, was hand-crafted by the Techmarines of the Imperial Fists to fulfill a fighter role, given that the majority of their Land Speeders were destroyed. As such this aircraft is exclusive to the Imperial Fists only.

The primary weapons configuration for the craft are two cannons fitted on either side of the cockpit and one laser cannon built into the nose section. The craft has only one engine, but it's fast enough to deal with other fighters.
