One of several new patterns of Terminator Armor discovered and used exclusively by the Second Legion, the Fortis-pattern is by far the strongest and thickest of all. Where the Brutus favors overall strength and power, and the Charon is an all-rounded suit, the Fortis has the thickest amount of adamantium and ceramite plating found in any Terminator Armor, more so than even the Tartaros-pattern. Though sharing common design characteristics as with all Terminator Armors, the Fortis-pattern's most distinctive feature is its chest armor. Based off the circular shape and design of an egg, it is a smooth, curving, and all-round layer of armor that protects the upper chest of the Astartes wearing with the heaviest amount of ceramite and adamantium possible, as well as built-in Conversion Field technology that gives the Fortis-pattern an additional layer of protection. This armor even has an extra feature completely unique to it that gives the wearer even more protection: a retractable layer of adamantium known as the Indomitable Shroud. Covering the neck and head section like a veil, the Indomitable Shroud encloses the entire head section of the armor, making it ideal for both void operations and proof against enemy headshots that would otherwise kill the wearer with a well-placed shot to the head. Other than that, the Fortis-pattern is capable of wielding all known patterns of Terminator-portable heavy weapons and can interchange standardized parts that come from other Terminator patterns of armor. It truly is an armored beast.
