Description
This is a crazy Christmas decoration I have- It is a wire tree with a star on the top coated in glitter. I loved the way the wire and the glitter looked with my macro lens, so got a shot. Focussing automatically on it was impossible because it can't decide if it wants to focus on the wire or whatever is behind it.The title is there just cos the glitter on the wire looks like those nasty blades on razor wire.
It's so fun playing with the depth of field with this star cos the wire is all twisted
Again- no editing but the frame and watermark.
Done with a Canon EFS 60mm f/2.8 macro usm lens

yeah I like your newer macro works. If I might be so bold
try something like, getting maybe some delicate fabrics like maybe satin or a blend something thin and use a dropper, and play with like the lighting and angles
like instead of the side angle with an overhead light try a bottom-looking-up angle with side or overhead lighting something that'll create shadows and gleam a bit
I took some sweet pictures of frosted snow on wood benches with the sun shining right down on them that look like I just dropped glitter all over something and took pictures haha
