I've been working like hell these past couple of weeks to get some more jewellery out. It seems no matter how much time I spend making these, I never have that much to show afterwards O_oWhere is all my time going!? I want it back!
This is the first locket I've tried making- I have a couple more to experiment with. I'm really quite proud of how this one turned out
This is a one-of-a-kind silver-plated filigree heart pendant.
On the outside, it has a red metal rose cabochon with vintage watch cogs. Inside, the locket opens up to an empty left panel (for a photo or so you can see inside) and the right panel has more vintage watch cogs and a vintage movement plate.

It looks like this is more popular than I thought it would be! I'm currently getting some more lockets made in this design, but the parts used will differ slightly. If you want one tailored to you, please let me know!

Did you make the actual locket or was it store bought? I'm asking because I'm currently trying to make a heart shaped locket by hand for my best friend. I've looked all over the internet but can't find a single tutorial on how to make a heart shaped locket...

It was a store bought locket, I'm afraid. I must tell you that I've looked for tutorials on how to make lockets myself and it is indeed a difficult thing to find! I do wonder whether you might get some information from certain manufacturers, although I'm not sure how much automated machinery might be taken to make the shop bought ones. You might be able to make them by hand with metal stamping/punching tools and such, but that's as much as I could guess at. best of luck finding a tutorial!

I've gotten them from old watches I've bought on ebay. Unfortunately, they are mostly auction format listings and can sometimes be expensive to buy when bidding against other people
