Based off an Ask I got on tumblrThis has actually been stewing in my art folders for a while and I had kinda forgotten about it :'D
It’s not a gemstone I would expect for me but it makes sense by how they described it.
I also discussed with a friend we agreed that she’d be a more defensive gem and her actual weapon would be a shield of some kind and relies a lot on shapeshifting. Like they said in the ask, acting more as a healer. I might work more on this later.
Personality-wise I could see her being very curious, cheerful, and fiercely protective. She runs very “hot and cold.” She either loves something or absolutely hates it, there’s no in-between.
She helps to keep her friend and ally, Sunstone , from recklessly running head-first into battle.
This is what she looks like without her glasses on. (Her glasses would probably be opaque-looking normally, but for the sake of the reference I made them more transparent.)

I haven't really fleshed it out, entirely. However I know I was going to give her healing powers since Bloodstone itself is a stone that has a deep-rooted association with healing (being called bloodstone and all).
As for weapon, I was thinking some kind of shield but then that'd be too similar to rose quartz. I'm honestly not sure entirely at this time, either say I would say whatever weapon it would be would be more defense than offense. Bloodstone's combat is more strategic and defense-oriented.

Also you don't need to "go back to the drawing board" just because I have a bloodstone character.
When it comes to Gemsonas and Gem OCs there's bound to be a few repeated stones because there's only so many stones in existence. There were a ton of Peridots and Jaspers before Peridot and Jasper were revealed on the show.

Thats the thing Bloodstone feels like an abvious choise for me, i think it would be better to look for something more obscure.
BTW for her weapon what if she has two shields, one on each hand and she can combine them to form a sort of Jaw. Maybe even using it like a Hammer, sort of like how your character attacks with the Greatshields.
