Hello everyone! I have returned with another Christina and Derek dressing up series. Since the first deviation for this was such a massive hit (lies!) I decided to come back with more designs who my character may look like. Today's victims er... I mean.... helpful guests were Sasuke and Sakura. Things I should mention for this. This was the first time I have used tan paper. I have always wanted to try out tan paper and here are my thoughts on it. The colors are beyond belief brighter then any white paper I have ever used. It makes the colors have a very nice pop to it. Unfortunately, the colors used for skin didn't work out very well and ended up looking horrible together. I did change the colors a bit but I'm still not satisfied with it. Which is why the skin looks kind of crappy. Also I looked up the references for Sasuke and Sakura and unfortunately I did not find the colors used for Sakuras dress. It's supposed to be a bit more darker red but not bloody red. Very odd color that I couldn't replicate. Not to mention I couldn't shade the eyelashes like I usually do. I normally use black but for this paper I will have to use grey's and black. Another thing I did notice was, my lineart was kind of lost while coloring. I normally use the darkest color of whatever shade I'm using for lineart purposes but the tan paper tended to make that fade? Hopefully you guys can still see somewhat of the lines. And this is something I'm definitely going to have to find a solution to. Overall, despite all the minor details of this I still enjoyed using this paper. Honestly speaking, I think majority of the problems I had were mostly my inexperience of not knowing how this paper works. Will definitely give this paper many more chances for future projects.
