This is one of the many beautiful churches on the Camino de Santiago, which I just finished hiking on June 22, 2016. For those of you who are unaware, the Camino de Santiago is the route of a pilgrimage that dates back about 3,000 years, and which was a Pagan pilgrimage long before it was taken over by Christianity. I hiked the Camino Frances, which extends from San Jean Pied de Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain. The Camino was famously depicted in the movie The Way with Martin Sheen. Hiking it proved to be the most joyful and enlightening month of my life, and I highly recommend it. The Camino harbors vast spiritual energies, and it has proven a transformative experience for hundreds of thousands of pilgrims. It's in the town of Santo Domingo in northern Spain, which the Camino de Santiago runs through. It's well worth a visit!
