Thank you, kind sir. It is so stimulating to one's artistic output to have a truly appreciative audience.

It's nice to go away, and it's nice to come back--especially to appreciative friends such as yourself. Costa Rica was a delight, although I felt I barely scratched the surface in terms of wildlife photography. I'm ready to go back and spend a month. This time I would be sure to go into the interior of the country and hit the cloud forests and moister areas. I went during dry season, and I didn't manage to see any of the tree frogs that Costa Rica is known for. But I had a great time with my family nonetheless. And the people we met were warm and welcoming. I would imagine that you have traveled extensively. And I hope that (along with Harry Potter) you can solemnly swear that you've been up to no good!

Ha! Ha! Ha!
Some people have to skydive or climb the Himalayan's, swim with sharks, or make student loans to live on the edge! I have a simpler mind. Getting up in the morning (or afternoon… or mid of the night) and taking responsibility to trade whatever hours, days, years of left living with whatever may be worth living for is sufficient to set me on the same thrill of living. So, my friend, I am always up to no good! Hehehe!!!
How can I share the joy of meeting this really cool cop who stopped me and didn't give me a ticket for speeding under the influence of many drinks, if I didn't have a few drinks and got behind the wheel?
Yes! It was the end of my 2nd marriage, I was in my late 20’s and was heading up to the mountains in the night above Boulder, CO with the idea of not coming back at all!
This wonderful cop took the keys from me, put a tag on my car, drove me home, gave me his card, and told me to call him whenever I was sober so he could take me back to my car.
Net day before he took me to pick up my car, we treated me to a cup of coffee and we talked about life, love, family, hope, and responsibility!
I never touched a drink and a steering wheel after that EVER. And instead of a bitter experience with courts, law, finances and justice, I have this awesome officer living in my heart, inspiring me to be the best I can be with responsible compassion and kindness. How could I ever had a chance to grown like this if I didn't give myself the chance to be childish?
We must be wizards in school! …and your Harry Potter analogy was in itself magical!!!!

What a wonderful anecdote to have one's angel appear in the form of a cop! I greatly enjoyed your story. You have had a remarkable life.

Often, is in retrospective that we best can appreciate the harvested gems we collect along our journey, and that gives me leverage for the apparent hardships of any moment!
Smiles from the heart,
Joe

Sure that's a great blue? It looks more like a tricolored heron to me. Beautiful shot, in any case - lovely capture of that reflection!
