Happy Easter Everyone!

It's been a long time since I actually dyed eggs for Easter. This year I had a sudden urge to get crafty, so instead of dying normal eggs I decided to have a little fun with my current cartoon obsession, Fullmetal Alchemist.

I created Eggward, Eggphonse, and Eggzumi by poking pin holes in my eggs and manually blowing the insides out (Wouldn't want to put this much work into hard boiled eggs that would rot). Then I diluted some ordinary orange Easter egg dye and dyed the eggs a base skin tone. I used yarn for hair and construction paper for pretty much everything else.

I had the idea to do this scene the second I decided to make egg characters which is why I didn't put faces on my eggs. I digitally put them on for the sake of the comic and then when I'm sure I won't make any more little comics like this I'll put real faces on these three. Yes I did set up the scene and take my own pictures. You can't really tell, but I actually painted the transmutation circle that's under Sloth with egg yolk.

I plan on making a few more characters tomorrow just for the heck of it. 5AM go me! I followed through with something I'm proud of! I better go put Sloth in the fridge before she spoils and get my butt to bed.
