In school we got an assignment to create a piece on the theme "travelling", be it literaly or figuratively. I had an idea of depicting the five stages of grief, since I a short while before we got the assignment got some really bad news. I decided I wanted to use facial expressions to show the process of grief, and with that I edited the idea of the stages of grief (denial, bargaining, anger, depression, acceptance) to the feelings that me myself felt processing the news I got.

All these expressions are so true and also re-occurring, coming in waves over and over again like a Tsunami of emotions that depletes the souls strength

Yes, in life and in the process of grief... When thinking about how to arrange the expressions I chose between this way and doing it in some kind of circle since they go round and round, not always with an end in sight. In the end I chose this way, thinking it could be the stairs reaching for acceptance, but also happiness trickling down to sorrow as well.
