Description By using Pony Creator v3 made by General Zoi (and by using Microsoft Paint to make some details), I made a small collection of futuristic ponies. Let's have a look at them.

Cyborgs are ponies with both biological and mechanical parts. You can call them “part ponies, part robots”, “part nature, part technology” or even “part creators, part their creations”. Those ponies may have their biological organs been upgraded by nanorobots like synthetic skin and bones, or replaced by artificial organs like quantum computers instead of biological brains, or even add new organs like claws and laser-based tools in their neck. With those implants, cyborgs can do anything, like communication by telepathy, calculating advance equations, searching new emotions and having tools inside their hooves.

Genetic mutants are ponies that have been modified genetically. By altering their genetic code, those ponies can upgrade their bodies and minds without the use of cybernetic implants. Like cyborgs, they can also have better or even new organs, by simply mixing their genes with animals genes, like wings and tentacles. This gives them the ability to adapt in many environments, like underwater and on air. Because of those changes, many mutants looks like other creatures, like monkeys, dolphins and scorpions. However there are a few mutants with cybernetic implants as well, called cybermutants.

Robots are 100% mechanical ponies. They have not a single organic component. Thanks to their robotic nature, they can do anything that mutants and cyborgs can... and even more. They don't consider themselves as “artificial ponies”, even if they believe that “the metal is better than the meat”. It's true however that many cyborgs tend to replace more and more biological components and evolve into robots.

Virtuals are ponies who doesn't live in our physical world, but in cyberspace. The first virtuals was ponies who let their physical bodies behind them and linked their minds with the cyberspace. Many new generation virtuals however were born in cyberspace itself and never want to explore the physical as well. Some virtuals can create their own simulated environments and be the gods of them.

Thanks to the above technologies, ponies can adapt even in the most dangerous environments. Martian ponies, for example, are taller because of the low gravity and prefer jumping than walking., even if Mars have been finally terraformed. But the ultimate triumph are the space adapted ponies, called cosmoponies. For those ponies, space itself is their home. They don't need to eat, drink or even breath. Thanks to their genetic modifications and cybernetic implants, cosmoponies can explore the planets and the nature of space. They don't need spacecrafts. They become spacecrafts.

If you wish, I'll attempt to make more futuristic ponies. I hope that you like them

Time for some trivia. The above information have been collected by visiting websites like Orion's Arm and The Worlds of David Darling. Google them. The gray-red cyborg is a referee to the Terminator saga. Look closely at her red eye to see information and choices displaying, just like in the movies. The blue cyborg firing with his laser hoof is a referee to Megaman. The green-orange mutant is a referee to Zerg from Starcraft saga. The black-cyan virtual is a referee to Tron saga.
