Description Ok, the first of my posts from the New York Comic Convention featuring Black Cat. The request was Black Cat with sometime of French/Parisian background so I decided to go for Belle Epoque era Moulin Rouge Can Can dancer look (with a little homage to the Toulouse Lautrec posters). Had fun!

Original art is drawn on 12" x 16" Canson Pastel Paper with Col Erase Light Blue Pencil, Staedtler HB Lead, Black Copic Mulitliners 05 and 08 Markers, Brown Pitt "S" Marker and White and Henna Prismacolors Pencils.

I'm lovin' this! I can see the Toulouse Lautrec influence in the background, which ended up working really well for the theme. I really like how the initial sketch in blue pencil is visible, I find it really cool when you can see the different stages of a drawing. I love the 'loose' mark-making, even on the details and I love me some white pencil on toned paper. It really shows that you had fun with this.
