I get the feeling this fakemon design by was sort of one of those holiday "Happy Easter" designs. But all in all, it's really a very good one to use outside of that fact. I can definitely imagine running into these in the wild. The chocolate aspect drew me in, and I wanted to see what it would look like if I gave it some of the depth and shape that is more difficult to achieve with 's initial colored pencil sketch. I also love the duality of the carrot/chocolate design.You've likely see it, as it's been around quite a while, but here's the originalΒ fav.me/d7fzl8f .
It didn't have a name, but I imagined Chobbit to be a good name for something like this. (Chocolate + Rabbit).

As for the pika clone thing, I wouldn't say having circles on cheeks would automatically make something a pika clone. Other than that and the eyes and mouth, we're still a ways off. But whatever, as long as the design appeals in a new way, I dig it. Thanks!

cute! i love the pink body!
yeah it wasn't really intended to be a holiday fake but it sort of came out that way. really it was based off dirt and carrots mostly but i wanted a round body shape so then it became eggs and that's what the easter bunny uses so then the dirt sort of became chocolate as well.

I guess it sorta did come out a bit pinkish. It's really just an off white (as you should never use pure white if you can help it. That way, when you do eye glints and super high gloss stuff, the pure white does it's job to make something pop really hard).
