The sky, A total accident, I think it comes from an over exposure and the HDR desperately trying to extract detail. I love the photo, but I'm not too happy with how the sky turned out. I need to go back and re-shoot this. Or maybe I'm too picky !!

I often find I get just I want in the general scene, then the sky just kills it in HDR. Very difficult to get the right balance.

Yes a couple of times I've removed the HDR foreground and pasted it back on to the un-HDR background to get the best of both worlds

Yes, sometimes it seems the best way - but fiddly when there are trees against the skyline!

Yes, I've had to trash a really nice HDR because of it. I need a photoshop course. (or more time for the fiddly bits )
