Alex: So you're raised in a sterile place and once you hit a certain age they just kick you out like that?
Tali: No, Alex, it's--
Alex: How the hell is that supposed to help? More like killing off your kind even faster.
Tali: Listen, the pilgrimage serves a purpose for the migrant fleet. A very important one.
Alex: Well, to me it sounds just damn weird.
Tali: Our pilgrimage is not "weird!" It is an important part of quarian tradition. Without it, it would have been impossible for my people to survive this long.
[Silence]
Alex: ...Yeah. I guess...I can figure.
Tali: I already told you, we are not "kicked out," they teach us everything necessary to know before we have to leave.
Tali: Oh Keelah, I do hope you haven't talked to Grunt yet. I cannot assure that he will deal with your bluntness as well as the other crew members.

Well that approach was an utter failure. You have to be a little more sensitive sometimes, Alex.
