Phew... gosh I've been busy lately. Traveling back home for thanksgiving and finals are soon... Just did this one kinda randomly as a request. I needed to learn how to draw braids eventually somehow. Which by the way... thanks zylair for doing the collab with me earlier and giving me a good example
Coloring of her dress was heavily inspired by Teruchan as I bet some of you could probably tell. I watermarked it just in case BUT please tell me if you guys think it's too intrusive (I think it's hardly readable). I haven't ever seen anyone ever actually take my art but recently a couple of the people I watch have had some bad art theft cases so... Just a bit paranoid myself

My advice with the poses is that you shouldnβt be afraid to try them. No matter how horrible they turn out, youβll never get any better if you donβt practice them. As for this piece the shoulder is little too prominent β kind of like she threw her back out β at least I see an attempt at arcing the body which helps with dynamic posing.

IT's so cute! And nope, never think the watermark is intrusive, it is a sad necessity to keep your work from being stolen. I have them all over mine now since I license with several companies and they use my images for thier products and are afraid somewhere else is going to rip them off, but I found out how to do clear watermarks which are incredibly effective and very non intrusive. If you are interested I can tell you how. I may just make a tutorial for it

I use Paint Shop Pro, but I'm sure you could do it on other programs as well. What you do is create your image or text on a transparent background, then emboss it. Just the regular gray settings, nothing fancy. Then you copy and paste that 'embossed' word or logo into a new layer on top of your image. Then (in PSP anyway) change it to a Soft Light layer and it magically turns clear! If it's a dark image then it may show up too much and you may have to change the opacity, but it will still look beautiful and clear! Let me know if that made any sense hun

Hmmm I tried embossing it and then making it soft light but it made it just strange. I'm probably not doing it right. But looking at your images I think I see what I need to do. I can barely see yours o.o

Ohhhhhh maybe. I'll give it another go. I think the problem with photoshop embossing is that it goes into shadows of grey and the embossing stays as a layer style even if I rasterize the type. Soooooo I guess I've just been doing a liney-type font and putting it on soft light.
