Description While I'm on the subject of traditional sketches of characters, why don't I throw this old one in? I felt like I spent tons of time on these characters, it would be a shame to throw them in the garbage. So I'm redrawing some of them to raise awareness of what could potentially be a really good idea.

Pokemon: Wings of the Guardian

Meet Blanche Brantford, an Ice-Ghost Type similar to Froslass. In fact, she's like a hybrid between a Froslass and Glaceon! She's a spiritual maiden who prays to the lord Arceus for divine protection upon those who deserve it. Most of the time, her prayers work and those with good will reign victorious in the many wars she chose to sit out of. It's all thanks to the halo-like accessory that she carries as a good luck charm, she believes.

This lady has actually died twice, surprisingly.

Path 1: Blanche Brantford, the Elite

Blanche v1 is seen in B, as a formally dressed Glaceon-Espeon hybrid. Cold and skilled in the battlefield, she almost rivaled Grey's abilities. Almost. Graceful with a single blade of solid ice, she proves that a sword is timeless even in an era of advanced firearms. She's still no good with fire, of course. Confident in her know-how, she took on the job of spying, taking on the name "Piggy". That was when she met a "Gerald", fell in love with him, and was horrified when he died right in front of her at the hands of her own squad.
Her squad reaches a temple of sorts that is rumored to be able to turn back the clock, so long as there is a satisfactory amount of sacrifices. Those who are sacrificed are reincarnated in the new timeline. She planned on sacrificing Lapis since there was someone she wanted to see again, while Lapis wanted to see her sister again. Both of them ended up dying and reincarnating, Blanche into an ordinary Eevee again born in the icy mountains of an old shrine.
Her halo is actually a powerful accessory in which brutal injuries can heal within seconds of being inflicted. What's more is that it can be removed to be given upon others. It can either be worn as a halo, a hair band, a headband, a choker, or a bracelet.

Path 2: Blanche the Eevee

A small Eevee spends her days in the cold, with an Umbreon father and Glaceon mother. Learning about the cultures hidden within their home (what with occasional passersby), she began to like the idea of a larger entity protecting them. So she tries it herself from time to time, receiving aid by the priests who visit.
Unfortunately this training would be short-lived, as her playing in the outside was interrupted by a cave-in (yeah, a cave in the backyard. Go figure). Suffocating, she died with much regret, rising as an evolved ghost (who could pass through the cave in, whoop-dee-doo!). Having access to the afterlife, she learned she was following the right path, praying to Arceus who really does exist. Now she fights as a believer of the good lord, bestowing guidance and protection to those who deserve it.
She had a crush on a "Soap Mori", a Skitty who visited her often when she was but an Eevee. Alas, Soap had already gone and married a Mareep from the farm, so now she continues working without distraction (this took a good 3 years until she could pull this off).

Enough of the stories, here are the doodles.

A. Blanche Brantford singing as a sort of prayer. As you can see, the halo doesn't even have to be on. She can put it on or off as she pleases.

B. The original Blanche Brantford, looking tough as always.

C. Blanche and her halo. Somehow it always knows which side is "above Blanche's head".

D. Blanche's "Guardian/Mega Form", which almost doubles her special attack while decreasing all other stats harshly.

---

So there's that! Enjoy! 8D
