It's still early in the month, so I think I can post this.
Keith was initially loving of everyone around him before he was shamed and shunned, but here he is now in high school, and anything goes.
Granted, he's still very angry and treats all people equally with sneering frustration, but get past that cold exterior and he doesn't care what kind of person you are; you've gotten on his good side, and that's that.
