Description The original version :}

In the original version of The Little Mermaid the mermaid doesn't end up with the prince. She gives up everything for him and walking on land inflicts pain on her. However, he was always in love with someone else, and eventually he marries the other woman. The mermaid comes into his room one night while he is sleeping with his new wife and stands over his bed and plans to kill him. But she can't do it, and instead tosses herself into the sea where she turns into sea foam and is finally happy.

Done on Painter :}

I heart the Just Add Water tool = D

Haha. It is. It's a lot better than how she magically adapts to life to of the sea and everyone falls in love and everyone is happy.

I remember that...though the book I read when I was a kid showed that they were on a ship. And it was their wedding night, and it showed them sleeping. But now that I think about it, I don't think they'd be doing much sleeping if it were in reality. haha.

HAHA. Very true.

It could very possibly have been a ship. I read the story on Wikipedia and then wrote it without reference :}

I was given the book with the real story at an early age. My mom hands me the book going "Here's the REAL story" haha. It was sad, but somehow it was a contributing factor to making me more accepting of the more difficult things in life. Haha, weird eh?

The art was all washed-out pastel watercolor, so it was a very pretty book. There weren't even any details like faces. It was all kinda swooshy, flowy art.

Oh, I want it now, haha. And naw, not weird. It makes sense.

I love the original fairy tales so much.
